It’s an amazing 7,000 hand carved jack o’lantern exhibit at Van Cortlandt Manor. It runs various dates from Sept 30th – Nov 26th. If you have never experienced it, it’s definitely something to go see!

If you have an interest in art, definitely this out. It’s the Third Year Anniversary of MASS ART SHOWCASES and Teran Studio in Newburgh is hosting the Winter Gala: Black & White Showcase [An Art & Live Music Exhibit] on January 30st from 6pm to 11pm.
During WINTER GALA, TERAN STUDIO is utilized to create a full exhibition of current artists living and working in the Hudson Valley. The compilation is considered to be one of the most exciting collections of outsider art in the area.

Right here in the Hudson Valley nestled on over 500 acres is one of the worlds leading sculpture parks, Storm King Art Center. It’s home to over 100 sculptures from some of the most acclaimed artists including Alexander Calder, Claes Oldenburg, Louise Bourgeois, Bruce Nauman, Nam June Paik and more. The works at Storm King go from post-World War II to the present and the scale of these pieces are huge. They have special events throughout each season. I’ve gone a few times and its always been an amazing experience. You can grab your friends walk around the grounds and have a picnic. You can also rent a bicycle and ride all over the grounds. Music playing in the background you can get up dance a bit while you paint a beautiful piece of art. Each class is taught by a local artist who shows you step by step directions suitable for any skill level. They run classes throughout the week, plus kids club on Sundays.
